At this site was once the largest wooden trestle in central Iowa.
During 1901, this narrow and oftentimes rickety trestle was replaced with the stone arch currently at this site.
The arch was built by local stonemasons, and consists of an all stone structure.
Overall, the bridge remains in great condition, as another testament to the well-built designs of these arches.

The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design in the area.
The photo above is an overview. The bridge is very difficult to access, but can be done so from 140th Street.
